Posting salaries
Posting a salary or salary range in job listings is an equity issue.
There is ample evidence that the wage gap for Black, Indigenous and People of Colour, and for women, is perpetuated by a lack of salary transparency. As well, disclosing a salary range/salary saves applicants from spending time and effort applying for a job that's not right for them. Listing salary ranges/salary is also one way to ensure job parity within companies and organizations, reducing the risk of inequitable compensation.
For these reasons, jobs posted to the TUG Google group and social media must disclose a salary or salary range.
