TUG Networking Meeting at Scadding Court

TUG's next Networking Meeting is Tuesday, November 22
Scadding Court Community Centre

There's lots to choose from this meeting, join us for whatever you can.

Actions for urban agriculture: The Toronto Food Policy Council recently hosted a lively conversation about priorities for the City to advance urban agriculture, but we just got started! On the 22nd we'll break into groups to discuss the most important actions the City can take. For background info, see the recommendations on page 21-22 of the GrowTO report. This is a starting point that we will build on.

Presentations: Inspiring projects from home and abroad
Deena DelZotto and Rachel Kimel on the Bowery Project's moveable milk carton gardens
Joe Nasr on AGRUPAR, the city-run urban agriculture program in Quito, Ecuador

Tour: Scadding Court's aquaponics system

Hands on: Bring your questions about saving and starting seeds while we pack seeds for upcoming Seedy Saturdays.

We don't expect people will stay for the full 5 hour ag-athon, here's our agenda so you can choose:

3:30-3:45   Welcome & introductions
3:45-4:30   Small group discussions on urban agriculture action items
4:30-5:00   Break, report back and updates
