Becoming a Member of TUG

Why should I join?

TUG is an unincorporated network with very little paid staff time. Support of all kinds from our members and partner organizations makes our work possible!

Feedback from committed members shapes our priorities for building a strong urban agriculture community in Toronto.

Who can join?

Anyone is welcome to join. You can sign up as an individual or as a business/organization/community group.

We ask you to agree to our mission and values. See http://torontourbangrowers.org/a-propos.

We also ask members to support our work in one or more of the following ways:

  • Participate in events organized by TUG, such as Toronto Seedy Saturday or Urban Agriculture Week
  • Work with us to organize events, host tours and develop projects
  • Promote TUG events through your networks
  • Register your urban agriculture project on our map and website directory
  • Participate in our Google group (share your work, answer other growers’ questions, share information)
  • Write a letter to your Councillor or submit comments to a City Committee related to an urban agriculture issue
  • Support our social media: like and share our posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @tourbangrowers
  • Participate in occasional surveys or research
  • Volunteer
  • Donate – send an e-transfer to info@torontourbangrowers.org. Note that TUG is not a registered charity and cannot give tax receipts.

I’m signed up to the TUG Google group. Does that make me a member?
