Find out how two high schools use their Green Industries and Hospitality programs to put their greenhouses to productive use and engage students in growing food.
Dan Kunanec is an award-winning teacher who developed a Green Industries curriculum for grade 12 students that involves them in greenhouse and raised bed production, aquaponics, and growing grape vines at Don Mills CI.
Marc Garneau CI teachers Sharon Gunn and Erin Carey partner with community members and students to produce seedlings for local gardens. You’ll love their Green Industries Olympics!
After the tour, join us for an optional discussion and lunch at the Marc Garneau salad bar with produce from 100km Foods ($6).
