Why Should I Care? Farming in Ontario
March 18th 2017. 14:00 to 15:30
This Saturday we're hosting a talk in partnership with the St. Lawrence Market about the realities of farming in Ontario. Living in the city, it's easy to feel detached from farmers but we rely on them for food and our consumer decisions and votes affect them.
At this event we'll talk about agriculture and free trade policy, sustainability, farm taxes, organics and pesticide regulation. Three St. Lawrence Market vendors will join us as panellists.
The event will be at St. Lawrence Hall, 157 King Street East. Specifically, we'll be in The Great Hall on the 3rd floor, accessible by stairs or elevator. Saturday, March 18 from 2pm-3:30pm. Questions about the venue? Email us at uptown@whyshouldicare.ca
