About

The annual YIMBY Festival provides an inclusive space for people and groups involved in grassroots community development to gather; exchange ideas, skills and strategies; and collectively imagine our future city. Founded in 2006, YIMBY promotes the role of community groups as an integral force for positive and sustainable change in Toronto.

The the theme of this year’s festival is UNITY OUR STRENGTH, acknowledging the geographic and socioeconomic divides in Toronto, and in response, highlighting some of the amazing work people are doing to address these divisions and embrace unity. This year’s Festival will feature free, interactive workshops and activities for community, by community groups.
