Rye's Homegrown First Fridays begin March 4th

March 4th 2016. 01:00 to 04:00

First Fridays Begin March 4th

Welcome back! We hope you are enjoying your winter hibernation and are excited to help us start preparing for a new season. We'll be starting this week with our First Friday drop-in event to discuss and plan for the gardens. Seeing as this is the first event of the year, there will be a Meet and Greet for anyone who wants to discuss urban agriculture on campus and find out how to get involved with the project throughout the growing season. The Meet and Greet portion will include a presentation on our programming for the year, followed by a seed-planning activity for our greenhouse-seedling operation. If the weather is fair, we’ll end with a tour of the gardens. Refreshments will be served!

When: Friday March 4th, 1–4pm
What: First Friday: Meet and Greet / Seed-Planning Activity
Where: Zone Learning Centre (ARC 100) at 325 Church Street
Who: Anyone interested in learning more about urban agriculture and how to get involved!

Be sure to mark every first Friday of the month in your calendar, and stay tuned to our eNewsletter for more event details.
