There will be a tribute to long-time TFPC member, Toronto City Councillor, Toronto Board of Health Chair, and food advocate Joe Mihevc.
Seeing as Toronto is the first city in Canada to join the global Circular Economy Network, we will have a presentation from the City of Toronto’s Circular Economy Unit about their work.
Lastly, there will be a short video of Olivier De Schutter’s recent presentation about the importance of food policy councils from the Frankfurt congress of Food Councils. De Schutter is the former UN special rapporteur on the right to food, and co-chair of the International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems.
It is open to the public.
